Art Auction
7-11 PM
209 Augusta Ave (in Kensington Market)
A silent auction to raise funds for Double Double Land. In late December they had all of their money stolen, which is terrible because they're really lovely and as you can probably tell from my event listings if they weren't around my public expression would be limited to The Internet and the CNE. These guys do so much to support and encourage The Arts in Toronto, you can help by buying some wonderful art from these artists: Life of a Craphead, Amy Bowles, Nikki Woolsey, Sandy Plotnikoff, Emily Hogg, Sojourner-Truth Parsons, Julia Kennedy, Jeff Garcia, Lucas Soi, James Kirkpatrick, The Torontonians (Mammalian Diving Reflex), Laura McCoy, Maryanne Casasanta, Cameron Lee, Anna May Henry, Jonny Petersen, Simon McNally, Xenia Benivolski, Yuula Benivolski, Zeesy Powers, Robert Dayton, Peter Kalyniuk, Larry Eisenstein, Alicia Nauta, Patricia Beattie, Steve Kado, Seth Scriver, Mark Connery, David Hanes, Amerlia Ehrhardt, Stan Krzyzanowski, CN Tower Liquidation, Xan Hawes, Andrew Zukerman, Matt King, Morley Shayuk, Lisa Smolkin.

BRING MONEY.

This place rules. It is a serious hidden gem where artists, writers, musicians and dancers have worked. It also used to be the Outdoor Education Centre for the Toronto District School Board. It is haunted. When I stayed there my studio had a garden view, 10 foot high ceilings (at least) and was huge. This place is also falling apart and needs some serious cash to keep going.
